Absolutely love this restaurant. All their seafood options are to die for, and their service is impecable. Try the "burger that are Cape Breton". You will not regret it.

We arrived a little before closing but were able to get in. Service was amazing and the food just the same. It was great last stop to end our Cape Breton tour. Our group just happened to catch the sun set from this restaurant and it was beautiful. There was a group beside us, where the matriarch never had a whole lobster before and the owner came out to show her how to break it all down - very nice of her. Recommend the crab cakes, and of coarse the lobster and crab dinner. Thank you for the wonderful experience and service we received that night.

My wife and I took her father to the Rusty Anchor for his 80th birthday. He had the fishcakes and beans and I had the fish and chips. The fish and chips were the best I have ever had and my father-in-law said the fishcakes and beans were the closest to his wife's that he ever tasted. The food was fantastic. The server was polite and the food was served promptly. The restaurant itself is located right on the ocean so the view was absolutely beautiful. They had outdoor dining available (but it was rainy so we chose to eat inside). The fish was fresh off the boat. Can't say enough good things. We will be back!

A definite must stop along the the world famous Cabot Trail! Short staffed as they may have been, everything about this restaurant was terrific! The only thing better than the food was the service. And the food was excellent. Opted for the lunch special of the day: Seafood wrap with fries. In a word: Delicious!!!

Stopped by for a quick lunch on the way to Halifax. The regular items are a bit pricey, but the lunch special we ordered (seafood wrap with lobster, scallops, fish, and a side of tortilla chips) was worth the buck. Seafood chowder was great, full of fresh scallops and large chunks of fish. The portions were good, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit while driving on Cabot Trail!
